TOKITAE/SK'ALI-CHEHL-TENAUT Guemes Island Ceremony by Samish elders

Completion requirements

Rosie Cayou James and Bill Bailey of the Samish Nation do a ceremony to honor Lolita/Tokitae's capture and pray for her return to the Salish Sea, on the 50th anniversary of this beloved orca's capture from Penn Cove off Whidbey Island. The ceremony was filmed from the north end of Guemes Island, thanks to Orca Network volunteer Amy Eberling and her husband Nick . We give thanks to Rosie and Bill for the many times they have performed these ceremonies in Penn Cove, and for all the work they do to bring Tokitae home.
